1. What is a download item?

The great thing about a download item: You receive your purchase right away no matter where you are. It is a digital file sent via internet. We offer two file types: audio files (mp3) and password protected pdf files (music sheets). The password protection is due to copyright reasons: password  protection is also copyright protection.

2. How to download the purchased item

After we receive your payment we will send an email with several download links. It is in German and in English. It may look like the following example. However, form and shape may differ depending on your device:


In case you do not get such an email, please check your spam folder first. If there is still no email, get in touch with us at info@jazzinotes.com.

Please click on the download link in blue. A dialog is opening below:


You find at least two (or more) blue download links. There is always one link regarding your password and one link regarding your music file. By clicking on each link another dialog pops up asking how to proceed. Please choose the option "save files". Do this to 1st save your password and 2nd to save the music file(s). After you have saved both password files and pdf files you might want to open the pdf files. We will get to it in a second but just to be safe, we would like to prep you in case your download link is not valid anymore.

3. Why has my download link expired?

You can download the pdf files five times only. This is to prevent unlimited access to the music by just passing on the email.

Once stored on your device, you can access your file as often as you need to and print it out as many times as well.

In case you lose your files, e.g., due to a hardware issue, get in touch with us. We will send them to you once more. Please contact us at info@jazzinotes.com.

4. How to open the pdf files

Make sure you have a software application installed which enables you to open and view pdf files.

Go to the folder where you saved both files. First, open the password file "password ... (title)" by double clicking (or by using the right-click on your mouse and choosing "open" or by choosing "open" on your smartphone).

You find the password in the second line. Next, copy it, open the pdf file, paste the password in the dialog box asking you for it. Now you have full access ... enjoy the music!

On most devices there is a pre-installed app to open pdf files. If not, there are several free software applications available via the internet.

5. How to print the pdf file?

You can easily print pdf files on your printer as often as you like. If you can see the music sheet on your screen but not print it, there might be problems with your printer driver. Check if you have the latest printer driver installed or contact their suport team.

6. Why am I not allowed to purchase certain download items in my country?

jazzinotes sells legal sheet music only: jazzinotes negotiates license agreements for copyright protected material with the copyright owners. If such an agreement is valid only for certain regions, download items need to be purchased within the "Licensed territory" (all our shipped items do not have any territorial restrictions).

License territory restrictions are listed in the item description. Licensed territory "worldwide" means there are no such restrictions.

7. What is a shipping item?

A shipping item as opposed to a digital file needs to be shipped physically. However, there are advantages also: it looks nice, it is bound, you can put it on your music stand. We offer the following shipping items:

8. How and when is my item shipped?

9. What are the shipping costs?

10. How to cancel an order?

You cannot cancel an order for a digital item once you clicked on "Complete order" since you have immediate access to the containt of the item. In case you choose prepayment as payment option, we will accept your cancellation when received before sending out the access information.

Cancellation procedure regarding shipping items can be found in Terms and Conditions §8 "Rights of Revocation". You also find them in the pdf file attachment in your order confirmation. Included is how to return an item already sent to you.
