Songfacts:
In this score you find the note-for-note transcription of the vocal (Noa) combined with the original piano voicings from Bach/Gounod. Here we offer you a version with the guitar voicings from the original recording, transcribed for piano.Ave Maria is one of the most known compositions in classical music. It is based on prelude no 1 to the first fugue in the well tempered piano of J.S. Bach (1685). Charels Gounod (1818-1893) used the original piano voicings almost without any changes and added a melody, firstaful without lyrics. 1859 he used the lyrics of the prayer "Ave Maria". Noa (Achinoam Nini) interprets the tune in a pop manner and adds her own lyrics.
