Songfacts:
The piano is arranged close to the orignial recording and really cool, the vocal is transcribed note-for-note.
The french pianist Henri Betti composed "C'est Si Bon" very quickly in 1947 and asked André Hornet to write the lyrics afterwards. He choose the third version, not the favourit of Hornet. Edith Piaf refused to sing this tune and recommended it to Yves Montand, who refused, too. Some not well known interpreters recorded the tune. Later Montand changed his mind an recorded the song - with great succes: e.g. in Italy it became a No 1 charts hit. Later on some famous musicians covered this song, e.g. Louis Armstrong und Eartha Kitts.
The band about themselves: "Jolie Môme” brings you the music of Edith Piaf and other renowned singers of the “chanson réaliste” era, with hits from the 1920’s through the 1950’s. The sound of the accordion gives a very Parisian atmosphere and complements the songbird vocals of French-Canadian born Myriam. The band is based in New York City and has made a name for itself in the French jazz, cabaret and vintage communities."
